Hello!
I have x^2 and I want to change x to y only without retyping the exponent 2. How can I do it?
Thanks.

Re: changing a variable's name
Unfortunately, this is not possible, yet. I was aware of this problem but I could not make up my mind how to solve it. Possibly, I will fix it in the next release.
In the meantime, if you know that your 'x' is likely to be changed, you can enclose it in an <mrow> before adding the exponent. See http://www.firemath.info/concepts/ for details.
